Beginning in January of 2010, products used for potable water must comply with new lower lead standards... Are You Ready?
Overview of the Issue
Our industry is changing. California and Vermont have passed new legislation that lowers lead-content standards for plumbing fittings, fixtures, pipes, and valves that come into contact with water used for drinking or cooking. These new laws go into effect January 1st, 2010. With other states looking at the possibility of following California and Vermont's example, it's our responsibility to help you meet these new standards.
Several of our products already meet these new Lead Free* standards, with many more on the way in 2009. Also, we've developed WeAreLeadFree.net, with resources to help you understand this issue and make the change to Lead Free - this site includes, email alerts to keep you informed of new Lead Free developments and literature to help you evolve with our ever-changing industry.
Look for the Lead Free Statement

Finding Lead Free* products couldn't be easier, simply look for the Lead Free statement. The Lead Free statement lets you know that Lead Free* models are available as part of that series.
*The wetted surface of our Lead Free products contacted by consumable water contain less than one quarter of one percent (0.25%) of lead by weight.
